On August 29, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA in cooperation with the Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce organized a business forum. Representatives of 35 Iranian companies were from the different sectors: plastic and food production, animal breeding, metals and metal products, refrigeration and cooling systems, kitchen appliances, textiles, cosmetics, marketing and real estate.
Operations Director of CCI of Armenia Mr Vladimir Amiryan highlighted the activation of economic ties with Iran, as well as he has mentioned the significant increase of turnover between our countries which was more than $ 300 million in recent years.
President of Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce Mr. Hervik Yarijanian, among many factors, particularly highlighted the opportunities for Armenia-Iran businessmen cooperation. Project manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA, Maria Torosyan presented the business climate and investment attractiveness of Armenia, and highlighted the importance GSP and GSP + free trade beneficiary status given to Armenia.
Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Mr. Mohsen Rahimi, assures that economic relations are equally developing in line with political-friendly relations.
During the forum, Armenian and Iranian businessmen had B2B meetings, during which the businessmen exchanged information and reached preliminary agreements for further cooperation.
