Armenian-Polish Business Forum
On April 9 RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with Polish-Armenian Chamber of Commerce organized Armenian-Polish business forum. Polish businessmen presented such sectors as production of transformators, protein coverings in the meat production, as well as textile, construction, furniture and other sectors. RA CCI President, Member of RA National Assembly Mr. Martin Sargsyan touching upon Armenian-Polish historic relations noted in particular that Armenians settled in Poland after the collapse of Ani… Currently about 92000 Armenians live in Poland most of them emigrated from Armenia in the last 10-15 years. Part of them has reached in a certain position in the Polish society: employed by Government agencies, in the sector of science and culture and especially in business. Mr. Sargsyan noted that trade turnover has increased in 2013 compared with the previous year, but it is not satisfactory adding that Armenia imports from Poland dairy products, sugar, confectionery, medicines, essential oils, pipes, plastic items, etc. and exporting products are mostly synthetic rubber, fibers, aluminum foil, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks, etc.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Armenia H.E. Zdzislaw Raczynski pointed out that Poland is keen to increase trade turnover regardless all the circumstances especially that there are a lot of unused reserves. Presentation was presented on the business environment and investment opportunities of Armenia. RA CCI President, Member of RA National Assembly Mr. Martin Sargsyan and General Director of Polish-Armenian Chamber of Commerce Mr. Maciej Bohosiewicz signed cooperation agreement.
