Armenia-Diaspora 6th Conference
On September 18-20, Armenia-Diaspora 6th conference was held in Sport and Concert Complex after Karen Demirchyan within the framework of which on September 19-20 Armenian Trade Network (ATN) business-forum was organized in conjunction with the Government of Armenia. Conference was attended by officials from Armenia and the Diaspora, representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations.
Mr. Andranik Aleksanyan, the Executive Director of CCI of RA, introduced Armenia-Diaspora economic cooperation’s issues: local investment climate, Syrian-Armenian businessmen experience, Artsakh economy and IT sphere; and mentioned effective ways of their regulation.
On September 20 ATN Assembly was held, where Hrach Gaspar, a diasporan businessman, was elected a new president.
On the same day at the “Saloon” Hall the third ATN Ceremony took place. Mr. Ralph Yirikyan, VivaCell-MTS General Manager, was awarded the “Business Personality -2017” award, Mr. Varujan Nergizyan, the Executive Director of the Sharjha Bank was awarded the “World Wide Achievement” award, Mr. Arsen Ghazaryan, General director of “Apaven” LLC, received the “Armenian Business Excellence Prize”, Mr. Tony Moroyan, Founder of “Viasphere Technopark” CJSC received “Armenian investor” award.
ATN was founded in 2011 in Yerevan and aims to support the establishment and strengthening of relations between the worldwide Armenian business community. There are 14 business organizations from Armenia and the Diaspora within the ATN. The ATN events are organized every two years.
According to Andranik Alexanyan, the Armenia-Diaspora Forum and the ATN Business Forum were another step towards Armenia-Diaspora rapprochement.
