On November 17, 2011, in Qingdao city of Shandong province , People’s Republic of China, Mr. Sergey Manaseryan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Arthur Yegoryan, Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia and Mr Ruben Kopyan, authorized person of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of the Armenia in China and the “Innovation Center for Belt and Road Collaboration” signed an agreement on establishment and support of the Armenian Office of Cooperation.
The initiative is aimed at promoting the process of implementation of the development program proposed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and promoting “One Belt One Road Initiative” proposed by President of China Xi Jinping.
According to signed agreements, the Chinese side provides the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia with a five-year period in the Innovation Center for Roads and Roads, providing pavilions and appropriate office spaces for exhibition and presentation of Armenian products and services.
The official opening ceremony of the Center and the Office of the Armenian Cooperation will be held on 30 November , 2017. It is expected that around 150 high level guests, including the mayor of Qingdao, senior officials of the Shandong Province government and Qingdao municipality, as well as businessmen representing rich and multisectoral economy of the state, will participate in the event.
