Presentation of the new Customs Code
On March 7, a seminar-discussion on the EAEU Customs Code took place, which came into force On January 1, 2018.
Within the framework of public-private partnership, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA and the State Revenue Committee of Armenia initiated a business meeting on the new Customs Code.
The new Customs Code contains a number of new provisions that should simplify the work of foreign economic activity participants, thereby boosting economic and trade development. Expected positive effects include export growth and simplification of imported goods, as well as the application of international practices that exclude the impact of the “human factor”, which will significantly increase the activities of the implementing export and import companies.
During the meeting, Mrs Lilit Movsisyan, deputy head of Methodology, Procedures and Service Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, presented the above mentioned changes to the economic entities and answered the questions of the participants.
