Round-table discussion with young entrepreneurs in Shirak region
On April 26, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA organized a round-table discussion entitled “Problems among Young Entrepreneurs” for young entrepreneurs in the Shirak region at the Gyumri Youth Palace.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chamber’s Operational Director Vladimir Amiryan presented the purpose and agenda of the meeting by emphasizing that young entrepreneurs are one of the main driving forces of economic life and the problems of young entrepreneurs are always on the Chamber’s agenda.
Luiza Ayvazyan, the Armenian representative of the Center for International Private Enterprise, presented the structure’s activities in the world and in Armenia.
The Program Coordinator of the Chamber Edgar Mehrabyan presented “Young Entrepreneurship in Armenia, International Experience and Perspectives”.
Each of the participants presented the problems related to their business, which were mainly related to:
- Small size of the Armenian market.
- Lack of qualified specialists (both higher and secondary professional).
- The insufficient support for local government and ineffective dialogue.
- Lack of knowledge and skills.
- Raw materials sourcing and logistics.
- The legislative gaps in a number of areas.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Amiryan “once again thanked participants for the active discussion” and assured that the Chamber would present the issues raised in the relevant platforms of the public-private sector dialogue.
