Armenia – Czech Republic
On September 16 the delegation headed by Mr. Zdenek Skromach, Vice-President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the official visit. The delegation consisted of the Presidents of 10 Committees of the Senate and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Petr Mikyska.
President of RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Martin Sargsyan introduced interesting facts from the history of Armenian-Czech economic relations, when Armenian businessmen had serious investments in Czech Republic still hundreds of years ago. “Today Armenian-Czech political relations are developing in high level and the two countries have broad prospects for cooperation”, – noted Mr. Sargsyan adding that new opportunities will come up by joining to Eurasian Economic Union. Mr. Skromach highlighted in the meeting held in Chamber of Commerce and Industry that Armenia is important country for Czech Republic and the fact that Czech Republic is EU member country and Armenia has joined to Eurasian Economic Union increases the opportunities for cooperation. Various issues on legislation, as well as different economic projects have been discussed.
President of RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Martin Sargsyan awarded Mr. Zdenek Skromach high “Mercury” prize of the Chamber.
