The visit of Iranian businessmen to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA

On March 2, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA hosted the business delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which represented more than 50 companies. Under Iran’s economic legislation, there are certain restrictions on protecting the interests of local producers in exports and imports, which causes some caution and mistrust on both sides.

The executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA Andranik Aleksanyan asked an open question: “Let’s start with the most important issue:” What prevents the activation of cooperation? There is simply a problem of mutual trust, it must be overcome. ” With that concern, the Iranian side raised the issue of a permanent exhibition space in Armenia. There were other suggestions and exchange of information. Another advantageous step was suggested by Karen Ivanov, the acting vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of RA: I suggest that after the meeting the whole Iranian delegation visit the exhibition hall. ” The guests gladly agreed to take the opportunity. More than 700 products of 62 companies are presented in the Ryazan exhibition. 16 businessmen from Ryazan organize various meetings and business forums every day, which interested the Iranian businessmen. Some entrepreneurs showed interest in the products of certain companies, there were acquaintances and initial contacts.
